I am afraid to choose the "Delete backup disk" option in the Time Machine applet because, while I want it to delete my sparse bundle, I am afraid it will take the liberties of deleting all content on the "drive". I've been his butler/care taker for the last 13 years and look forward to many more. Hello all! My name is Tim, and I'm from San Diego, California. Mine is named Tarzan (9 years old) and he shares HIS home with Jane our miniature Dachshund :) I share my home with a 10+ year old red bellied parrot named Jack. I have had my little guy for over 15 years now. Because he acts like a monkey swinging around his cage. My Senegal's name is Abu after the monkey in Aladdin. Since we got him at 4 months he is always full of energy. Have a friend from Africa and I thought that since my parrot was from Africa so should his name and kani means energy in swahili. He also loves to spy on our bunny while he hops around the house, giving him the evil eye from atop his cage. He is helping to bring my Goffins Cockatoo out of her shell. He's a stubborn little clown, but tons of fun. Named him Mosquito but usually use Skeeter or Skeeto for short. But it sure does fit his personality perfectly! My 7 month old male sennie is named Chewy. Teasedale is the last name that he shares with his cagemate, Sage the Sennie, because they tease the other parrots in my flock at every given opportunity (particularly the quakers, but anybirdy will do). He left the earth 2 years ago and is missed.ĭon't know where the Beaumont came just seemed right. He was a beautiful man who could sing the history of his tribe back 500 years, played the kora and knew thousands of songs and ceremonies. The name Djimo came from a esteemed friend of ours who was from Senegal, Djimo Kouyate, who was a djali or tribal historian. My male Senegal is called Djimo Beaumont Teasedale. Maia is more of my cuddle bug than a talker.I love them both so much. I bought them both when they were 2 months old. I have a meyers names Maia who is going to be 9 years old in May.Also have a 8 year old Senegal named Gigi. I have a male Senegal named General Beauregarde, whom I have had since I was eight, and I have another Senegal that I rescued named Ali. He gets along great with our dog - he throws food to him sometimes just to see him run across the room. He is my first parrot, I've had budgies before. He likes to swing upside down and say "bat bird." He is funny and is talking more and more. I should also mention, Petey is six or something now. To round out the zoo are 2 dogs, 4 rabbits, a betta, some guppies, and a pair of human monkeys who do all the caretaking. There's a whole flock of other birds, a timneh african grey named sam, and 13 twits of assorted twitter pated chirpy birds in an aviary. He flies like a little helicopter and goes all over the house. My senegal's name is Paco Pete Soto (petey) and he's a charming little darling. I created a set just for them, titled "Our Flock". We hope that they are around for a long time! Jules is interested in everyone and everything, and loves to dance and sing! He likes to sit on my shoulder while I'm watching TV. Floyd keeps to himself mostly, unless he is hanging out with his dad. Lee and I have a 3-year-old red belly named Floyd, and a 2-year-old Jardine named Jules. We also have two 2 year old budgies named Blue and Turkey (short for Blue Chicken and Prince Turkey Hawk). Two weeks ago I got a red-bellied parrot. :o) He's the best bird ever! Although he cant stand my Black headed caique! Hes super jealous of her.lol I've had him since a hatchling and hand fed him and now hes 2 years old. She has been a member of the family for 3 yrs now. Hello, My Jardine's name is Murtle!! She ( I think ) came to me when she was 18months. My little one year old Meyers is called Indy - he is such a character, a real mischeif! My senegal is called Zuri which is African for "Beautiful", which she certainly is :3 I've had her for almost 3 weeks now and she's so amazing, I love her to bits ^^ She is just over 5 years (I have had her since she was around 5 months). Hello! My name is Deanna, and I am in Ontario, Canada. The original person Tima was a very sweet, kind person, much loved in the community. A friend worked with the Yanomamo for 25 years, and suggested the name. Tima is a Yanomamo Indian (Brazil) name meaning "one who comes from above" either physically or metaphysically. You can get additional assets to add to your home from the Sweet Home 3D download page. Generally, however, defining the floor space of a room is straightforward. Depending on the complexity of the room shape, you may have to experiment to find whether you need to work clockwise or counterclockwise from your origin point to avoid quirky Möbius-strip flooring. Sweet Home 3D defines the space as a room and provides you with its area in feet or meters, depending on your preference.įor irregular rooms, you must manually define each corner of the room with a click. If the room's floor space is defined by four walls, then all you need to do to define that enclosure as a room is double-click within the four walls. To define a room, use the Create Rooms button to the right of the Create Walls button in the top toolbar. This flexibility is possible because, in real life and in Sweet Home 3D, walls don't always define a room. You can draw the outer boundary of your house first, and then subdivide the interior, or you can draw each room as conjoined "containers" that ultimately form the footprint of your house. Sweet Home 3D is flexible on how you create walls. Once you close the walls, press Esc to exit the tool. Drawing walls is simple: Click where you want a wall to begin, click to anchor it, and continue until your room is complete. This is done with the Create Walls tool, found to the right of the Hand icon in the top toolbar. The first step is to define the walls of your home. Once you have changed the view mode, you can start designing. It makes sense to switch to this view regardless of your computer's power because an aerial 3D rendering doesn't provide you with much more detail than what you have in your blueprint plan. That means you get to control what is rendered and when. This view mode renders your work from a ground-level point of view based on the position of a virtual visitor. For best performance (especially on a computer not dedicated to 3D rendering), go to the 3D View menu at the top of the window and select Virtual Visit. On my laptop, this view was a lot slower. On my Slackware desktop computer, this works famously, but my desktop is also my video editing and gaming computer, so it's got a great graphics card for 3D rendering. When you first launch Sweet Home 3D, it opens a blank canvas in its default viewing mode, a blueprint view in the top panel, and a 3D rendering in the bottom panel. You must grant it permission to run on your system when prompted. On MacOS and Windows, expand the archive and launch the application. In the Permission tab, grant the file executable permission. Right-click on the SweetHome3D file and select Properties. Regardless of your OS, you can download the application from the website. It runs on any operating system that can run Java, which includes Linux, Windows, MacOS, and BSD. Sweet Home 3D is a Java application, so it's universal. If you can create a basic table (not the furniture kind) in a word processor, you can plan the interior design of your home in Sweet Home 3D. And when you're done, you can view the results in 3D. You can do all of this with precise measurements, down to fractions of a centimeter, without having to do any math and with the ease of basic drag-and-drop operations. Sweet Home 3D is an open source (GPLv2) interior design application that helps you draw your home's floor plan and then define, resize, and arrange furniture. It was time to do what the professionals do. The last thing I want is to bring home a great find from a garage sale to discover that it doesn't fit through the door or that it's oversized compared to another item of furniture. Therefore, I have been formulating a plan to populate my living and working space with actual furniture, made of actual wood rather than milk crates (or glue and sawdust, for that matter), with an emphasis on plan. However, since I became a remote worker, I've found that a home office needs conveniences like a desk and a chair, a bookshelf for reference books and tech manuals, and so on. Historically, I practiced the little-known fourth principle: don't have furniture.
